Studies like this (and their accompanying press releases) have become a dime a dozen. The real question we should be asking ourselves is how many more of these “breakthroughs” do we need to see before we begin recognizing them as more con job than science. You think we would have learned by now.
If anything, the persistent drumbeat of promising announcements should be alerting us to how completely bankrupt autism science has become. Fields in which there is true understanding and true progress being made would not have time for such a steady stream of traveling medicine shows.
